The boys basketball team is wrapping up its season and preparing for the OHSSA tournament while the EHS girls finished their season with a record of 10-13.

The Edgewood girls took a devastating loss against Mt. Healthy on Wednesday.  EHS led at the half but could not sustain the lead. The Cougars fell 44-40 to the fellow SWOC team. Rylie Homan led the Cougars with 13 points and Ella Allen added 10.

Sophomore Evelyn Henson summed up the loss. “This wasn’t the outcome we were expecting,” said Henson. “We played our best and gave it our all. Just a few little mistakes ended up costing us the season.”

According to senior Colton Hunt, the boys team looks to outplay their seeding ranking. The EHS opponent, Princeton, earned the 5 seed in the district while the Cougars are the seed 32.  “We were hoping for a little higher seed than what we got,” said Hunt. “ We are hoping that we play like we know how to and make it to the next round.”

Princeton and Edgewood tip off on Saturday, February 18 at Fairfield High School.
