A change in how to schedule courses was made this year where EHS students scheduled 3- years out. Freshman chose their classes for their sophomore, junior, and senior years. Sophomores scheduled for their junior and senior years.

Sophomore Kennedy Norvell thought the process was a bit too quick.  “I feel like I’m not really prepared for my future because I felt rushed to schedule all at once. It’s easier to figure it out as you go not all at once.” Kennedy said

Freshman Jayden Weldon agreed that the process was fast.  “I don’t think that this way of scheduling prepares me for my future. I’m not confident with what classes I chose and I might want to change them in the future.” Jayden said

While the pace bothered some students, others enjoyed looking ahead rather than just choosing courses one year at a time.  Sophomore Taylor Chow would disagree with Jayden and Kennedy “Um I would say this way prepares me better because it’s easier to figure out and know what you want to do.” Taylor said

A change is always nice for anyone and seeing new options can open students’ eyes. Assistant principal Alex Ahlers would agree “We wanted our students to see all of their options for their junior and senior year,” he said.  “Students only look out for one year, not all of high school.”
