EHS Principal Mr. Geygan’s new Model 3 Tesla has created some excitement and gained a great deal of attention in the staff parking lot.
The main reason Mr. Geygan bought this Tesla was because of how far he traveled daily. “The amount of money I spent on gas coming to Edgewood 5 times a week was my main reason for buying a Tesla,” Mr. Geygan said.
As an old teacher, Mr. Geygan applied his academic background by doing his ‘homework’ lol. “I did research for over a year before I decided on buying a Tesla,”Mr. Geygan said.
Mr.Geygan, Mr.Harrison, and Mr.Cecere are all good friends. Mr. Geygan was excited to take his friends, Mr. Harrison and Mr. Cecere, on a ride in his Tesla.
“It was an interesting experience because growing up everyone said there’d be self-driving cars and now there are,” Mr. Cecere said.
Mr. Harrison was also fascinated with the car’s technology. “30 years ago, I would’ve never thought this was possible,’’ Mr. Harrison said.
Considering it’s still new to people that we have self-driving cars, students think it’s awesome Mr Geygan has a Tesla. Senior Addi King says, “It’s pretty cool.”
Tesla’s YouTube video featured the Cyberpunk 2077 game being played on the in-car screen by using a PlayStation controller, though the system can play more than 6000 games, The feature, however, is one feature that Mr. Geygan does not use much.
“I’ve played chess a few times while sitting in my car,” Mr. Geygan said.
The need for a charging station is the only drawback of ownership. A charging station was installed at his house therefore it is easy to charge when he gets home and before he leaves.
“The only negatives are traveling long distances and being able to find a charging station,” Mr. Geygan said.
