Homecoming Dance
Edgewood will be having its homecoming dance in the EHS gymnasium. The dance is one of the most anticipated parts of the school year. Students attending the dance, get to go out and shop for a beautiful dress or suit. They also get to have the chance to ask one another to homecoming with a cute proposal!
Sophomore Jallie Castle enjoyed homecoming last year.
“My experience at my homecoming was awesome, it was pretty fun. Big crowds, loud music, flashing lights, and everyone just having a fun time.” said Jallie.
The dance will be on Saturday from 8 pm to 11 pm.
Tickets this year will be available to purchase Monday – Friday, during all lunches and tickets are sold for $20 each. Students who cant get tickets in lunch can purchase them in the main office from 1:45 to 3:00pm, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Homecoming Parade
The homecoming parade gives students an opportunity to show off their sports teams, peewee floats, best buddies float, and both boy and girl scout floats! Each grade is working on floats that display the theme of “Seasons”. The parade will be Thursday starting at 6 pm, in Trenton Park, and it will end at Edgewood Middle School.
After last year’s homecoming parade was canceled due to rain. Sophomore Sean Miller remembers a lot of work being ruined. “The rain made pieces fall off of our floats,” said Miller.
Student Council Advisor, Ms. Anderson, hopes to see a great parade this year. “Hopefully this year will go well because we are a little rusty from last year,” said Ms. Anderson.
Homecoming Game & Royalty Presentation
On Friday, the Royalty Presentation will be starting at 6:15pm before the homecoming game at 7pm. Ms. Anderson will be making sure this year’s royalty is ready to go.
