Spring Break is over, coming back to school people are talking about how their break went.
The school librarian, Kim Berry got to go on a cruise for 4 days and came back to her granddaughter.
“There was beautiful weather everyday, I got to see the Dominican Republic,… Once I got home I had a new granddaughter, she had her baby friday” said Ms Berry.
During Ms Berry’s cruise she got to enjoy ice cream, swimming in the pool and some shows.
“They had all the food you could eat. You could get it at any time, they had free ice cream too. Just got to swim by the pool, and I got to watch some shows, [such as] ice skating and comedy. We were supposed to get a play but they had some technical difficulties,” said Ms Berry.
While students did have a good break from school, they still had to manage their work schedules around all of their plans. Jane Shields, Gracelen Hudson, Addy Arbaugh all work at fast food restaurants. After their work they had many things planned.
Gracelen mainly spent her break with friends after work. Although she doesn’t remember everything she did with her friends, the main thing she remembered was Bowling.
“Bowling went good I was the only one that didn’t use the bumpers my friends brag about winning but I was only 4 points behind them and that says a lot.” said Gracelen
Abby Arbaugh spent her break going to restaurants with her boyfriend.
“I hung out with my boyfriend every single day. We went out to dinner a lot. We went to billiards and played pool because that is one of his favorite things to do,” and she says “we went to Old Spaghetti Factory, Texas Roadhouse, Hooters, and Bob Evans. Texas Roadhouse was my favorite” Abby shares.
Jane Shields enjoys her work so she got to enjoy working longer, and making more money while also helping her girl scouts with the craft show coming up.
“I was able to work a lot more with my job, I had done that for most of my break and I was also getting prepared for the craft show, with my girl scout troop.” said Jane
Jane has been in her girl scout troop for a couple years now, as she started in elementary school.
“This is our second year doing this. We are trying to build it up. We have been trying to hand out fliers and do what we can to spread the word. We are going to be selling candles and other things on April 20th” said Jane.
