The school year is coming to an end, which means that there are going to be a lot of tests in the next couple of months.
Every grade will be taking tests, but sophomores will be taking the most tested group.
Sophomore Kaylee Barker, really wants to change some things about the tests, especially the food options in between the tests.
“They need to have a vote on food choices so that it’s more enjoyable for the students,” said Barker.
Many other students agree with the idea that Barker came up with.
Sophomore Roman Smith agrees with Barker’s statement but he also believes they should change the testing schedule.
“They should make us take all of the tests and have it be a long day of just testing so that the rest of the week we can have off and not be stressed,” Smith said.
However, students already come to school early before they start the tests and a day after all the tests the students come to school but with late arrival and Barker loves it.
“We’re here for not too long to where I feel drained from being at school all day and feeling like I’m very stressed from all of the tests,” said Barker.
Even though other students want to change something about their schedules, they unfortunately can not do that.
Guidance Counselor Mrs.Cottingim, says that they’re not always the same.
“ They can sometimes change but it is very rare for them to, the only thing that could change every year would be the dates of the tests,” said Cottingim.
Even if students want to change something about the schedule they can’t because the school does not make the schedules.
“ The testing schedules are created by the Ohio Department of Education and they cannot and will not just change one thing for one school because if they did that not only would it take a lot more time than it already does but they would also have to do it for every single school in Ohio,” said Cottingim.
Students are still fine with the fact that they physically cannot change the testing schedules.
