The Edgewood Cougars’ football team brings a 6-1 record into its SWOC game with the Talawanda Brave (1-6) at 7:00 PM tonight at Talawanda High School.  

The Brave are led by #7, quarterback, Cale Leitch.

Leitch has thrown for 189 yards this season, resulting in 2 touchdowns and 1 interception, completing 10 of 16 attempted passes. Leitch averages 7.4 yards per game. 

On the offense, Talawanda senior, #10, Hayden Marcum is currently leading the Southwestern Ohio Conference (SWOC) in receiving yards with 493 this season. Similarly, #20, Logan Howard is the leader of both punt and kickoff returns for the Brave this season, averaging 23.2 yards in punt returns and 22.8 yards on kickoff returns.

The Edgewood Cougars will be led by senior Riley Brown, #11. Brown has thrown for 591 yards this season, granting Edgewood 6 touchdowns at the cost of only 2 interceptions. Brown has a pass completion percentage 52.8%. 

Cougars’ offense is led in receiving by junior Braden Sullivan, #32, who has 413 yards and 5 touchdowns this season.
